• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia: Due to enlarged prostate gland, urine flow is blocked. Its symptoms are frequent urination at night and problems in urinating. Its treatment depends on how large the prostate is, the age and overall health of the patient. It can be treated with the help of medication and procedures, such as transurethral resection of the prostate, transurethral incision of the prostate, transurethral microwave thermotherapy, transurethral needle ablation, laser therapy, prostate lift, embolization and open or robot-assisted prostatectomy.
• Urinary incontinence: It is a loss of bladder control. Implementing a healthier lifestyle may help in less serious cases of urinary incontinence. If the incontinence is very frequent and is affecting the quality of life, and urine leaks during sleep, you should seek a doctor’s help.
• Urinary tract infection: It is an infection in any part of the urinary system, including ureters, kidneys, urethra, and bladder. Its symptoms include burning sensation during urination, frequent urination or urge to do so but incomplete voiding, pelvic pain, tiredness, fever, nausea and/or fatigue, and cloudy, dark, or strange smelling urine, mixed with blood at times. It can be treated with the help of antibiotics.
